TetraSodium Pyrophoshapte

TetraSodium Pyrophoshapte or TSPP is a colorless inorganic salt or transparent, odorless crystal, with the chemical formula Na4P2O7, molecular weight 266 grams/mol.

In addition, TSPP also exists in a state containing 10 water molecules. TSPP is a salt that is slightly stronger than table salt and is non-flammable.

To create TetraSodium PyroPhosphate TSPP salt, H3PO4 reacts with Na2CO3, the resulting sodium phosphate is heated at 450oC. In addition, TetraSodium PyroPhosphate TSPP salt can also be produced by condensing Na2HPO4 .12H2O.
