HT-80 is derived from the Bacillus licheniformis strain used for fermentation and refining techniques. HT-80 is an endo-amylase that can rapidly reduce the viscosity of starch gelatinization products, by randomly hydrolyzing starch, glycogen, and its degradation products contained in glucosidic alpha-D -1,4 to produce soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides.
Product information:
- Enzyme Ingredients: Alpha-amylase
- Systematic name: 1,4-α-D-glucan glucanohydrolase
- Potency: ≥80,000 U/ml
- Appearance: Liquid
- Color: clear brown to dark brown
- PH: 5.0~7.0
- Density: 1.15 to 1.25 g/ml
Benefits when using HT-80:
- HT-80 has high stability at low pH
- HT-80 helps reduce starch viscosity quickly
- Helps reduce the formation of unwanted product colorants
- Reduces the formation of non-fermentable sugars
- HT-80 liquefaction is highly effective for various raw materials, such as
- cassava, corn, wheat, rice, etc.
- Using HT-80 can also help eliminate the need to add calcium ions during the
- liquefaction production process.
Usage content: From 0.1 – 0.35kg/ton of dry starch. However, the exact dosage of HT-80 depends on the actual situation such as starch substrate, liquefaction equipment, processing conditions, etc. To optimize the dosage, it is necessary to conduct some tests. Chemical testing to find the optimal dosage suitable for each production plant.
Impact of Ph.D. on HT-80:
- HT-80 is active with a pH range of 5.0 ~ 7.0, depending on different applications.
- The optimal pH of HT-80 is 5.4~6.0.
- The exact pH optimization depends on actual production conditions, including temperature, substrate concentration, and time.
Impact of Temperature on HT-80: The optimal temperature of HT-80 is above 90°C. It liquefies starch rapidly at 95- 97°C and maintains high activity at 100°C. For sequential liquefaction, HT-80 demonstrates exceptional thermal stability over a temperature range of 105 -110°C within 5 to 7 minutes.
Calcium concentration: The presence of calcium helps increase the heat stability of HT-80. This enzyme requires a low calcium concentration of about 20-50ppm to ensure enzyme stability
Inhibitors: Copper, titanium, and cobalt ions are moderate inhibitors for HT-80. Aluminum, lead, and zinc ions will inhibit HT-80 more strongly
Packaging: 25kg, 30kg plastic barrels, or 1125kg IBC barrels.
Shelf life: The normal shelf life is 6 months if it is stored below 25°C in a sealed, unopened container, away from direct sunlight. Its shelf life will be 18 months provided this product is stored properly at 0 ∼ 10 ° C. Prolonged storage and/or under adverse conditions such as higher temperatures may result in Dosage requirements being higher, so attention is needed.

HT-80 is a very powerful Alpha-Amylase due to its high thermal stability so it is widely applied for the production of malt sugar.
